Shipping
Orders are dispatched within 1 - 2 business days.
All orders are dispatched from our Wellington, New Zealand based studio.
Delivery estimates are the targets provided by New Zealand Post for delivery, and shipping times may take longer if there are delays within New Zealand Posts delivery network.
If your order is being shipped to a business/workplace address, please ensure the name of the business or organisation is also included in the shipping address.
Shipping within New Zealand
Shipping (once picked up by the courier) is generally 1 - 4 working days (usually overnight for North Island delivery and 2 - 4 days for South Island delivery) and up to 5 working days to a rural address.
We use New Zealand Posts Courier service (through Parcel Wings) for delivery within New Zealand.

NEW ZEALAND (URBAN ADDRESS):
Small light items (jewellery, greeting cards and stationery) $5.50 to $6.50
All other items (plates, tea cups and other ceramics etc) $7.90 flat rate shipping (just pay one flat rate of $7.90 to ship as many items as you like)
NEW ZEALAND (RURAL ADDRESS):
Small light items (jewellery, greeting cards and stationery) $10.50 to $11.70
All other items (plates, tea cups and other ceramics etc) are $13.90 flat rate shipping (just pay one flat rate of $13.90 to ship as many items as you like)
The rural shipping price includes New Zealand Posts rural delivery surcharge
Our shipping prices are calculated by volume and weight at the checkout.
Please allow extra time for delivery during the busy Christmas period in November and December.
IMPORTANT - Rural Shipping Addresses in New Zealand
If your order is being sent to a rural address in New Zealand please ensure you select the RURAL shipping option at the checkout. If you are unsure if the address your order is being sent to is classed as rural you can check at this link: www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/address-postcode-finder
If the address states “Rural Address”, “RD” or “This address doesn't receive Standard Mail delivery” in the postcode finder, please select the rural shipping option.
If the rural surcharge hasn’t been selected and paid for at the checkout we will send you an email asking for an alternate urban shipping address (this can be a workplace/friend/family etc address), and we will also provide the option to pay the rural surcharge to us via bank deposit if you would prefer your order to still be sent to the rural shipping address.
International Shipping
International orders are dispatched within 2 to 3 business days.
Shipping times
Australia - 5 to 15 business days from the date of dispatch
Rest of World - 10 to 20 business days from date of dispatch

Shipping to Australia starts at $14.00, our shipping is calculated by weight at the checkout. There are some items which we cannot ship internationally due to postal restrictions, including magnets. These items will be identified in the products description.
Shipping Worldwide starts at $22.50, our shipping is calculated by weight and varies slightly depending on the destination. There are some items which we cannot ship internationally due to postal restrictions, including magnets. These items will be identified in the products description.
You can check your shipping costs at the checkout before finalizing your purchase.
Please allow 10 to 20 business days for delivery (in the lead up to Christmas delivery times may take longer due to increased mail volumes). Your order will be shipped via New Zealand Post and a tracking number will be provided in your dispatch email.
The Dandy Lion has no control over any customs or import duties that may be levied when your order reaches your destination country. You are solely liable for these charges.
Payments
We accept payment via credit card/debit card, Afterpay and ApplePay through our website.
Returns and Exchanges
If you have changed your mind and would like to exchange your purchase please email info@thedandylion.co.nz within 7 days of receipt of your order and please include your order number. We can exchange for credit or replacement. All shipping costs are non-refundable and return costs are the customer's responsibility. Items must be returned in original unused condition including any gift boxes etc they were shipping in. We do not offer refunds if you change your mind about your purchase after your order has shipped, so please consider your purchase carefully.
Custom orders, create-a-plates and personalised items are unable to be exchanged or returned for a credit or cancelled after we start making your order.
If your order has arrived faulty or damaged please email info@thedandylion.com outlining the fault or damage and attach a photo of the damaged or faulty item. If we have a replacement item available we will send one out at no charge. If we cannot supply a replacement, we will offer you the choice of a full refund or credit. For items broken during delivery the courier company may require pick up of your broken item for assessment, so please hold on to the item until the refund process is complete.
